The ever evolving Nature of Title
Title IX is a law passed by Congress, but it subject to definition the Department of Education. This means that with every administration the rules change, expanding or shrinking the protections that survivors have. As we enter another Trump administration we are closely watching for future revisions and will update this page the news developes.
Title IX in 2025
While President Biden released new Title IX Regulations, they were enjoined by the courts and never went into effect. On Jan 31st, 2025, President Trump revoked Biden's regulations, announcing that the DOE would be enforcing the 2020 Regulations that were in place during President Trump's last term
